Horrible Experience at Roundcube Guest House - A Warning to All

I am writing this post to share my horrendous experience at Roundcube Guest House and to warn everyone about their pathetic service. This complaint serves as a cautionary tale and an account of the nightmarish ordeal I endured during my recent stay. Upon my arrival at 7pm, there was no one present at the reception. I waited patiently for over 30 minutes, growing increasingly frustrated and exhausted. Seeking assistance, I approached nearby individuals, but none of them had any idea about the whereabouts of the staff. In desperation, I dialed the number provided on the door and on the website, but my calls went unanswered. It took a whole half-hour before someone finally returned my call, only to be greeted by a rude and illiterate individual. When the staff member arrived, his attitude was nothing short of appalling. He showed me to my room, which was infested with flies and mosquitoes. It was a far cry from the pristine condition depicted on the website. To add insult to injury, when I requested another room option, I was informed that there were none available. Curiously, during the 30 minutes I spent at the property, I knocked on several doors in search of assistance, but not a single guest was present. Frustrated and disheartened by the staff's attitude, and since it was a special occasion being my birthday, I made the decision not to stay and asked for a refund. To my astonishment, the Agoda agent mentioned that the check-in time was 12 o'clock, implying that my late arrival was to blame. This explanation was preposterous, as I had booked the room for the entire day, clearly indicating my intention to check in at any time. It is worth noting that I had also communicated my estimated arrival time of 6-7pm during the booking process and even called one day prior to inform the hotel. The Agoda team made multiple attempts to contact Roundcube Guest House over the course of two days, but it was only on the third day that they managed to establish contact. Imagine the immense frustration and difficulty I experienced on the day of check-in, waiting for resolution. I find it utterly unacceptable that both Agoda and Roundcube Guest House demonstrated such a lack of professionalism and customer understanding. In the service industry, catering to the needs and expectations of customers should be a fundamental principle, yet it was completely disregarded in this case. My intention in sharing this complaint is to raise awareness and prevent others from going through a similar ordeal. I strongly advise against booking rooms through Agoda, as their customer support proved to be inadequate and unresponsive in handling this matter. Additionally, I emphatically caution against choosing Roundcube Guest House, as their service was abysmal and they failed to deliver on even the most basic standards expected from an accommodation provider. Let this complaint serve as a warning to everyone considering Roundcube Guest House and as a reminder to demand better service from companies in the hospitality industry. It's is too expensive for the quality of food they serve ,quantity of serving is too low sothat u order more food and time delay is deadly in serving ur order,so avoid going there,all staff is high on drugs or alcohol,even the servings are like for kids meal

We spent the most amazing 5 days here. Booked partial sea view rooms. Pros: 1. Rooms were new construction. Room was sealed so there were no bugs / mosquitoes . Bed was soft and very comfortable, washroom was clean. We have been staying in beach huts at Palolem since 2015 and this was the best stay experience. 2. They had power back up. 3. Check in was smooth and quick. 4. We had food and drinks at their restaurant almost everyday and everything that we had was great. Cons: 1. Service was a little slow sometimes. Overall we had a great stay and were sad to leave. The place has a chilled out and happy vibe. The staff is very polite and friendly. Special thanks to Loki for the amazing cocktails and to Suvee who always served us with a smile and became friends with our 4 year old son. We will be back soon and will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here from 30th Dec,2020 till 3rd Jan 2021 since most of my favourites in Palolem beach were either prohibitively expensive due to new year or weren't operational. Positives - The location is bang on the beach with excellent views, the staff is helpful particularly Manjay.Their shack serves good food and plays good.They would proactively come and clean your room unlike some of the other places in Goa. Negatives - The hut itself is quite small and basic, washrooms don't have a shelf to keep your stuff and the washbasin itself is supersmall.The biggest issue is they play loud music till late in the night which is very clearly and loudly audible in the huts.They should have some soundproof wall between the shack and huts.

We stayed in two Beach Bungalows Side Sea View from 17th January to 20th January 2020. Good place on the Beach Good Staff n very Good Quality well presented Food. But Portions are small compare to Rates. They must increase the quantity at least by 25%. There is no assigned Parking for the Guests. Our Car Honda City was badly Damaged by unknown and there is no one to be held responsible. They must provide secure n safe Parking for Guests . I rate this property 8.5 / 10
